Homemade Cornmeal Cake Adapted from “Bolo de Nada”

Sweet cakes and pies

It was a reader’s tip to make the “Bolo de Nada” with cornmeal flavor (see here the original recipe). Like this homemade cake It has a wild proportion of ingredients that can be transformed into several other flavors. So take note of what I used, which is a super practical recipe:

Ingredients:
1 cup (tea) of warm milk;
1/2 cup (tea) of oil;
3 eggs;
1 cups of wheat flour;
1 and 1/2 cups (tea) of cornmeal;
2 cups (tea) of sugar;
1 tablespoon of baking powder.

Just mix the first three ingredients, add the rest, leaving the yeast for last. I only beat this cake using the whisk (wire whisk), but if you want, you can beat it in a blender.

Preheat the oven to 180ºC for 10 minutes. Place in a greased and floured pan and bake. My shape is 22 cm.

In my oven it took 45 minutes, but this time can vary greatly depending on the brand of oven. Then do the toothpick test. Just place a toothpick in the center of the cake, if it comes out clean it is baked.
