Home remedy for sprains

Natural treatments

An excellent home remedy for sprains is an immersion bath using warm water and rosemary and lavender essential oils, because they have calming, relaxing and anti-inflammatory properties, being very effective in treating sprains and other joint problems, such as arthritis and arthrosis.

Ingredients

  • 3 drops of rosemary essential oil
  • 3 drops of lavender essential oil
  • 2.5 l of water

Preparation mode

Fill a basin with warm water and add the essential oils. If the site of the sprain is the foot, place it in the container and let it soak for approximately 10 minutes. If the affected joint is elsewhere, moisten a towel with the home remedy and apply a compress for the specified amount of time.

In addition to leaving the affected region ‘soaking’ in this solution, it is important to follow all the doctor’s or physiotherapist’s instructions for complete remission of symptoms.
