A well-designed CV opens doors for a job interview. However, it is the behavior during the interview that will be decisive in hiring the candidate.

In addition to posture, ease of conversation, knowledge of the area in which the position is being sought, recruiters also analyze clothing. The interview is a unique opportunity to show who we are, so we need to give a good image, after all, the first impression is what lasts.

Tips for a job interview!

1 – Blouses and Necklines

Don’t wear cleavage. The aim is to learn about professional skills. The neckline will draw more attention to the person. Blouses should have wider sleeves to cover the shoulders. Avoid tops with spaghetti straps or those that show your bra strap.

2 – Prints

If the candidate opts for prints, prefer discreet ones. Avoid very strong color prints, however, be careful not to look too romantic, as this gives an image of fragility. However, it is best to opt for neutral colors.

3 – Dress shirt and suits

These are classic and infallible pieces and are advisable for formal job interviews, as they convey an image of elegance. The black color on the shirt and suit is spot on.

4 – Skirts and dresses

Use them if you are sure it will be a conventional interview, without dynamics. Because, depending on the dynamics applied, the skirt can interfere with performance. The recommended length is up to three fingers above the knee. Much below or above does not suit an interview. They should not be glued to the body either. 5 – Shoes

If the company is more formal, wear closed-heeled shoes. Avoid noisy shoes, as they attract attention and can be annoying. Prefer sneakers in less formal companies.

6 – Pants

It should not be tight or too loose. Jeans need to be more discreet, without too much shine or work. Tailored pants are spot on, there’s no mistake. Like skirts, combined with long-sleeved blouses, it looks sophisticated and serious.

7 – Makeup and nails

No need to wear heavy makeup. Makeup for an interview should be simple, just to even out the skin, such as concealer to cover imperfections, lipstick in a very light color. Little blush and mascara.

On your nails, don’t use strong colors or nails that are too long. Ideally, they should be clean and well cut, with a very light base or nail polish.

8 – Hair, accessories and perfumes

Do not comb your hair. Just keep them well aligned. Avoid wearing accessories in your hair, such as headbands with flowers. The perfume should be mild and in small quantities. Don’t overdo the production. Avoid statement earrings or loud necklaces and bracelets. Use discreet accessories.
