Green corn cake recipe from the cob

Ingredients

  • 2 cups of corn straight from the cob;
  • 1 cup unleavened wheat flour;
  • Same measure of milk;
  • 1 and 1/2 cup of sugar;
  • 3 whole eggs;
  • 3 tablespoons of margarine;
  • 1 small packet of grated coconut;
  • 1 level tablespoon of yeast.

Preparation mode

  1. Start by removing all the corn from the cob;
  2. Place the corn, milk, eggs and margarine in the blender, and blend well until the corn is crushed;
  3. Then, place the corn dough in the mixer and add the wheat flour, sugar and grated coconut. Lastly, add the baking powder;
  4. Grease a mold with a hole in the center, add the dough and bake in a preheated oven at 180ºC, for approximately 1 hour;
  5. When you insert a toothpick and it comes out clean, it means that the green corn cake is baked;
  6. Remove from the oven, wait to cool and unmold;

  1. To make your green corn cake perfect, when choosing the ears of corn, buy those with the greenest straws and brown hairs;
