Grandma Elza’s Pizza – Panelaterapia

Grandma Elza’s Pizza

Sweet cakes and pies

I’m not even going to talk about my beloved grandmother because she’s too human to fit into a post. Who knows, maybe one day it will become a book. Kiss grandma!!!!!!!! (Lives there in Campo Grande-MS).
I don’t even know why I’ve never made this recipe, since my grandmother has been making this pizza forever and the whole family loves it. The dough is very crunchy, delicious! And it’s very simple to do.

For a large disc, which I decided to make in a rectangular dish just to counteract it (there was still dough left and it made another sprouted pizza), just mix:
– 2 cups of flour (the cup used is 200 ml);
– 1 tablespoon of chemical yeast powder;
– 1 level teaspoon of salt;
– 1/2 teaspoon of sugar;
– 1 ovo;
– 50 ml of oil
– Warm water until it softens and leaves your hands (you will use between 50 and 100 ml of water).

You don’t need to knead much, just mix until it doesn’t stick to your hands. Grease a baking tray with a little oil or olive oil and place the dough on the bottom (it grows a little in the oven, so make a thin layer).

Spread a thin layer of tomato sauce over the raw dough (I used ready-made sauce) and cover with whatever filling you want. I like to put the cheese on the bottom and the other ingredients on top, because as it will be in the oven for a long time, if you put the cheese on top it will dry out. I used mozzarella cheese, 1 can of grated tuna, tomato slices, peas fresh, onion and oregano.

Bake in a medium oven for about 30 minutes. Remembering that oven time can vary greatly depending on each brand, so open the oven and see if the dough is already crispy.

Of course, you don’t want to compare homemade pizza dough with dough from a pizzeria that has a wood-fired oven, but trust me, this one tastes really good!
