Good restaurants in New York

North America

It’s hard to think of a more vibrant city with more gastronomic options than New York.

Due to so many immigrants, the cuisine is extremely varied and is home to some of the best restaurants in the world.

A frenetic city, it is a delight to visit at any time. But of course some months are more interesting than others.

October, for example, is a great month to go to NY. The autumn temperature is pleasant, it is the month of the marathon and Halloween, the Halloween festival, which for Americans is like our Carnival.

So, for those who are lucky enough to go now, here are my tips.

Restaurants:

Whoever is strolling through Village and you want a light lunch without being too expensive, I suggest you try the

Bread –  (212) 620-9977 West Village 330 Bleecker St. New York, NY 10014

or else, the

Sant Ambroeus – (212) 604-9254 259 W. 4th St. (also available at other addresses).

For those who can spend a little more and want to dine there, it’s worth a very tasty Italian, only frequented by locals.

Lupa Osteria Romana (212) 982-5089 170 Thompson St.

If you like Asian food, you can’t miss going to the Meatpacking District to eat at Buddakan (212) 989-6612 75 Ninth Ave. The food is magnificent and the restaurant is beautiful and well attended.

Another very interesting restaurant in the Village is Public – 210 Elizabeth St (212) 343. The menu has a little bit of everything. The kitchen is elaborate and the decor is very different, as if it were a library. Another one that you don’t see tourists.

For a delicious burger, head to the famous PJ Clarke’s Beyond the Traditional End on Third Avenue – 915 Third Ave. (212) 317-1616, there is also in Lincoln Square – West 63rd St & Columbus (212) 285-1500.

Another good place for sandwiches and salads is Rue 57, on the street named after it, at 60 West. A very nice brasserie!

Anyone who is a fan of sweets cannot miss the famous Magnolia Bakery cup cake, so popular with Carrie and her friends. I know that Magnolia is not new to many people. But in addition to the traditional address in the Village – 401 Bleecker St – there is a recently opened one at 120 Av. of the Americas (close to 49th). It’s unmissable!

Enjoy and tell me!
