Garlic Bread – Panelaterapia

Garlic Bread

Snacks

I know that when we hear “garlic bread” we immediately think of that bread that accompanies the barbecue, but that’s not the case. This is a homemade bread flavored with garlic, parmesan and herbs. It has a very mild but delicious flavor to accompany fondues and soups. The texture is very similar to Italian bread or firmer.

I made it in the bread maker (mine is –> that), but those who don’t have a machine can follow the recipe normally, mixing all the ingredients below:

*The machine’s measuring cup is 200ml:

  • 3/4 cup of water
  • 1 tablespoon of sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/2 tablespoon butter, softened at room temperature
  • 2 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon of herbs of your choice (I used dried oregano and fresh basil)
  • 1 teaspoon of garlic paste or 1 “crushed” clove
  • 2 cups + 2 tablespoons of wheat flour
  • 1 and 1/2 teaspoon of instant dry yeast

If you are going to use the machine, just add the ingredients in that order and choose the cycle “1 (normal)“, choose the size of the bread (option II) and choose the color of the bread crust (I like “average“).

If you are going to do it without a machine, just mix all the ingredients, knead/knead until you get a uniform dough and shape the bread. Place on a baking tray sprinkled with flour, cover with a damp cloth and leave in a warm place (inside the oven or microwave) until it doubles in size. Then just bake in a medium oven until the skin is golden.

Do I think the bread maker is worth it? Super I think!
Mine is Britânia’s multi-pane (it’s not jabá, it’s just that I know you’re going to ask lol… lol…)
