Actress Françoise Forton dies after a long battle against her second cancer, hospitalized around 4 months ago in São Paulo.
Françoise Forton, veteran actress, dies at the age of 64. Forton passed away last Sunday (16), after being hospitalized for around 4 months at Clínica São Vicente, in Rio de Janeiro. The reason was complications from cancer. Françoise leaves behind a son, Guilherme Forton Viotti, and also her husband, Eduardo Barata, a cultural producer whom she married in 2014.
The actress was already facing her second cancer. In this sense, while recording “Tieta” (1989), at the age of 33, she was diagnosed with a tumor. In the last hours before her death, the actress worsened, and soon, the medical team at Clínica São Vicente informed her family of the seriousness of her condition.
Françoise was born in Rio de Janeiro, on July 9, 1957. She was the daughter of a French father and a Brazilian mother. During his more than 50-year career on TV, he acted in several hits such as “Estúpido Cupido” (“1976”), “Bebê a Bordo” (1988), “Tieta” (1989), “Meu bem, meu mal (1990) , “Perigosas Peruas” (1992), “Explode Coração” (1995), “O Clone” (2001) and “I Love Paraisópolis” (2015). His last work on television was “Amor sem Igual”, produced by Record TV.
Furthermore, his debut was in 1969, in the soap opera “A Última Valsa”, on Globo. But he has already worked on Band and SBT, with “Sabor de Mel”, “Casa de Irene” and “Os Ricos Also Choram”. Likewise, in cinema, he participated in films such as “Marcelo Zona Sul” (1970), “Jardim de Alah” (1988) and “Coração de Cowboy” (2018).

Be that as it may, Françoise’s talent was not reserved just for the screen. The artist also loved cooking. In 2018, for example, she took on the challenge of participating in the “Super Chef” show, on “Mais Você“, led by Ana Maria Braga. She was the second eliminated after facing Rafael Cortez. On the program, the actress was very excited, learning new cooking techniques.
At the time, the group had participants such as Carla Diaz, Rafael Zulu, Raul Gazola, Maria Joana, Daiane dos Santos and Rainer Cadete. On the other hand, the victory in the edition was due to Maria Joana.
