Food during urinary infection treatment

Illnesses

During a urinary tract infection, it is important to increase your intake of water and foods with diuretic properties, such as watermelon, soursop, cucumber and carrots, as they promote the elimination of excess bacteria through urine. It is also important to avoid foods that irritate the bladder, such as coffee and caffeinated drinks.

Furthermore, cranberry juice, also called cranberry or cranberry juice, can also be a great ally to treat and prevent new infections, as it interferes with the adhesion of bacteria to the urinary tract, preventing the development of more serious infections.

In general, treatment for urinary tract infections involves the use of antibiotics prescribed by the doctor, according to the cause of the infection.
