Since I ate Flatbread no Outback I was dying to try this revenue at home. It’s nothing more than a lots of nice ones e crunchy which does not contain yeast. I think they bake it in the oven or over the flame using a large plate, because the shape is rectangular, but I made it round and in a frying pan and it also worked very well, it was very similar. The dough is great, very easy to make and you don’t even need to let it rise.
To make 2 discs of this mix:
- 1 cup (tea) of common wheat flour;
- 1 tablespoon of olive oil;
- 1 teaspoon of salt;
- warm water until smooth.
Just mix the flour, olive oil and salt and add hot water little by little until it no longer sticks to your hands. If you miss the point, just add more flour. After it comes off your hands, knead a little for about 3 minutes. There’s no need to worry if you don’t know how to knead, just keep kneading.
Then divide the dough into two parts and roll it out as thinly as you can with a rolling pin (I found it easy to roll out). As we are talking about a rustic type of dough, you don’t need to make it extremely round, in fact, you can make it in the size and shape you prefer.
Place the dough over medium heat (I didn’t even grease it), in a non-stick frying pan and when it is golden brown on one side, turn it over, remove from the heat, add the topping of your choice and return to the heat to bake the dough on the other side. You will be surprised by this delight!!! Do it and tell me!
