I recently stayed at Parker New York, a five-star hotel in Midtown that is now part of Leading Hotels of the World, a seal that guarantees Lux and comfort in best hotels in the world. The hotel has great value for money: comfortable rooms, privileged location and excellent breakfast. Furthermore, it is the address of one of the best burger restaurants in New York. O rooftop is another asset of the hotel, with its indoor pool, and an incredible view of Central Park and much of the Big Apple.

Location
Parker New York is located in the heart of Manhattan, on W 56th St, between Sixth and Seventh Avenues. That is, three blocks from Central Park, 200m from the iconic Carnegie Hall. Plus, it’s also very close to Times Square; it’s just a ten minute walk. Right next to the hotel is a Morton Williams, a great market with always fresh, healthy and varied products.

Right at the entrance, the imposing lobby decorated with marble and shades of red already gives us an idea of the luxury and sophistication of an LHW. The rooms are comfortable, with classic decor and many of them offer views of the park or the city.

In my room, for example, there was a 46” TV, desk with lamp, armchair, mini bar, king size bed and, as a gift, a view of Central Park. In the bathroom, Moonshine spa toiletries were offered. It also had a hairdryer, bathtub and plenty of towels available.

In the basement of Parker New York, a five-star hotel in Midtown, lies a true oasis of beauty. That’s where a Dry Bar unit is located, the salon created in 2010 by Alli Webb that only does hairbrushes (blow outs) and offers a very varied “menu” of styles. In addition to Moonshine, there is a spa with various body treatments. Tenoverten, a salon specializing in nails; and also a makeup salon are present. In addition, there is also a barbershop and Skin Laundry, a beauty center focused on cleaning the skin.

Norma’s is very famous for its breakfast. One of the house specialties is the egg benedict with artichokes and truffled Porcini sauce. The menu also includes American classics such as waffles, omelets and pancakes. The dishes are plentiful and delicious. In addition to having the best French Toast of life! The restaurant is run by chef Emile Castillo and opens from 7am to 3pm. In fact, as it is very popular, it is worth making a reservation.

Burger Joint
Also very popular in Brazil, with several restaurants in Rio and São Paulo, Burger Joint is the Parker New York Burger, five-star hotel in Midtown. The first unit of the house was opened there – when the hotel was still called Park Meridien. She has been elected more than ten times best burger place in New York. Totally casual, it is separated from the hotel by a curtain and payment is only accepted in cash! The store with scribbled walls, handwritten menu on cardboard, low lights, loud music and attendants shouting your name, contrast completely with the luxury hotel on the other side of the curtain. But still, it’s one of those mandatory stops.
