The elements of the signs in the Astral Chart can be Fire, Earth, Air or Water. Each element brings common characteristics to them in personality.
When we talk about zodiac signs, we can’t just talk about each of them separately, as there are other forces behind them in the Birth Chart. The elements of the signs are the classifications into which they fit: fire, earth, air and water.
Basically, the elements of signs divide them by characteristics. In this way, behaviors, emotions, attractions, actions and temperament are divided into each of these elements that appear more or less evident in each person’s Astral Chart.
The 4 elements of signs
The signs of the zodiac are divided between the four categories of elements: fire, earth, air and water. Basically, they call each category a triplicity, as the 12 signs are divided into groups of four, with three of them in an element that is common to them.
Furthermore, the elements of the signs always follow the same sequence, as Fire means the beginning of the impulse, Earth makes it come to fruition, then Air dissipates and Water dilutes, starting the cycle again.

The signs that are governed by the earth element are Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn. What most symbolizes this element is the person having “feet on the ground” in relation to life, as the element itself suggests.
What I summarize the Earth is the material question. Thus, people with Earth signs tend to be materialistic, realistic, functional and value stability and security.
These people understand how things work and what they need to do to make sure everything goes smoothly. Therefore, they tend to present practical and objective traits.
Generally, those who have excessive Earth signs in their Map may tend to work too much, as Capricorns are known, value material things over feelings and be grumpy.
However, if there are no Earth signs in the Astral Chart, the person tends to be very dreamy, not knowing how to take life seriously when necessary and will have difficulty dealing with rules.
Ar
The characteristics of air are that it is dispersive, untouchable, dissipable. Like the element, the Air signs – Gemini, Libra and Aquarius – are like this too. In short, people of these signs cannot be completely controlled, as they are rational, intellectual and intelligent, always seeking the truth.
Furthermore, they generally don’t care about other people’s feelings, but they are very communicative and know how to express themselves publicly.
When a person has a lot of Air in the Astral Chart, they can become very tense, always exhausted, cold, rude and authoritarian. On the contrary, if there is a lack of elements of Air, the person may not be able to relate well with people and may not adapt to things and situations that are different from usual.
Water
The signs of the Water element are Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces. Water symbolizes fluidity, depth, intuition and fertility. Therefore, Water signs are the most sensitive, affectionate and empathetic, in addition to being more perceptive.
Because they are more emotional, people with the Water element are intimate, they feel everything deeply and take situations to the most intimate side. In this way, they like to interact affectionately.
Those who have excess Water in their Birth Chart can be very needy, sensitive and emotionally fragile, living in a world of idealism and imagination. However, those who have little Water in their Map have difficulty talking about their feelings, tending to have emotional and psychological problems.
Elements of signs – excess and lack
If you make an Astral Chart and notice the lack or excess of some element, it is perfectly possible that you will try to change the balance. To do this, the ideal is to notice your difficulties in certain areas of your life and try to exercise what you find most difficult to deal with.
For example, those with a lot of Earth dominant may try to be more detached and controlling. Still, for those with Water in evidence, try to show more compassion and concern for others.
