O hotel Duhau Palace – Park Hyatt, Buenos Aires It attracts the attention of anyone passing by Av. Alvear. O Palace built in 1934, in style Belle Epoque French, has a romantic story behind it. The owner fell in love and had a replica built of a similar residence he had seen in England as a gift for his loved one. For decades, the Palace remained in the hands of the family, until it was purchased by the Hyatt a few years ago.

Very well located, in the heart of Recoletathe most elegant neighborhood in Buenos Airessurrounded by good restaurants and shops (such as the Patio Bullrich shopping mall), the Palacio Duhau – Park Hyatt exhales luxury and elegance. The impeccable design managed to maintain the architectural tradition of the 1930s and at the same time make it modern and stylish inside.

O hotel It has two buildings and two separate entrances. They are united by the beautiful garden, which was so beautiful, it was difficult to stop photographing it.

The guest’s day begins with this beautiful view, as the hearty breakfast, buffet style, is served in the elegant Gioia restaurant, with very high ceilings and views of the garden and the old Palace. Hard to resist dulce de leche Argentinian and other delicacies available to guests. The restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

O Park Hyatt Buenos Aires It also has two more restaurants. O Duhau Restaurant & Vinoteca, offers sophisticated Argentine cuisine, with an emphasis on typical Buenos Aires meat cuts, including Wagyu and Black Angus in a sophisticated environment. But the menu is not just about meat. I ordered octopus which was delicious!

The Vinoteca has an extensive list of Argentine wines, including the best Malbecs in the country. Highlights include the mouth-watering cheese room, hand-selected by Maître Fromager. Nothing could be more cozy and romantic, especially in winter, with the bonus of a fireplace.

The third restaurant and my favorite is called The Piano Nobile Halls. A stunning salon in style art Deco, where breakfast is also served (for guests in this part of the hotel, the old Palace), as well as lunch and traditional afternoon tea. It also has a terrace overlooking the garden, where you can eat when the temperature permits. I ordered a shrimp Caesar salad, which was delicious and the perfect size and I drooled over the beautiful sweets on the menu.

In addition to permanent elegance in all environments of the Palacio Duhau – Park Hyatt o hotel It is filled with works of art, including a gallery, open to the public, with works by local and international artists. And – which I found charming in itself – it has its own flower shop, where the flowers that decorate the hotel come from and are also sold to outside customers.
