Diet/Light Guava Roll

Sweet cakes and pies

As many of you already know, this week I will be traveling (on the high seas) and therefore I will owe you some visitors. But to avoid leaving the blog abandoned, I scheduled posts for the whole week! I hope you don’t abandon me!

Zero sugar! I just don’t know if it’s suitable for diabetics because of the white flour. But either way it’s delicious! I made it to satisfy the desire to eat roll cake, which is very similar! For the traditional version, just replace the sweetener with sugar in the same amount.

Light/Diet sponge cake:
6 excited
6 whites
6 tablespoons of flour
6 tablespoons of culinary sweetener powder
4 drops of vanilla essence
1 tablespoon of baking powder.

Beat the egg whites. With the mixer running, add the vanilla and egg yolks (without the skin to avoid the egg smell) one by one, and beat until light. Remove from the mixer, add the sifted flour, sweetener and yeast little by little. Grease a baking tray with margarine (or butter), cover with baking paper, spread another layer of margarine (on the paper), add the dough and place in the preheated oven for around 10 minutes.

Moisten a clean tea towel, spread it on a flat surface and sprinkle with powdered sweetener. Unmold the sponge cake over the sweetener. Spread a layer of diet jelly of your choice (I used guava). It can be dulce de leche or the cream of your choice.
Wrap with the help of the cloth. It’s soft and delicate, the kind that we eat a lot of and don’t get sick of!
