Crazy Meat

Meat

Since I made the post about bread pudding, I owe you the recipe for the crazy meat that my neighbor makes. Do you know when someone has a famous recipe that everyone loves and always asks for? So, this is her famous recipe, people who eat it love it (“the neighbors are crazy”)!

Yesterday we gathered at her house to eat the crazy meat. Guys, it’s French bread with meat and that’s it! You don’t need anything else, I mean, you need to have bottled Coke! Simple as that, like the best things in the world!

To make a pan like this, which, according to me, can fill at least 20 loaves of bread (normal size), it’s like this: You cut into large pieces of 1.8 to 2 kg of meat (it can be hard drumstick, rump, or any meat that falls apart later). Place in the pressure cooker and cover with water up to the level of the meat. Bring to a boil and let it cook for 1 hour after it reaches pressure (low heat).

After that, reserve the cooking water and shred the meat with a fork. Now sauté in olive oil, finely chopped: 1 onion, 1 pepper (preferably red or yellow as they are milder), 1 bunch of coriander, 1/3 cup of chives, 3 tablespoons of soy sauce, shredded meat , olives (green or black) chopped to taste, 1 tablet or envelope of meat broth and 1 sachet of tomato sauce.

Add a little of the meat cooking water and let it simmer over the heat so the sauce thickens. Then you decide whether you want it drier or with more sauce and regulate this humidity by adding more or less cooking water. At the end, taste the salt, add more if necessary.

I’ll trade dinner at any restaurant fancy for the crazy meat! Crazy meat aloka!!!
