With the arrival of Condensed Milk at the beginning of the 20th century, housewives quickly understood the potential of this new ingredient and began to experiment by adapting different recipes for use. My Recipe

I love pudding, here at home it’s always a success, but this time I made it in individual portions so as not to run the risk of my husband destroying the whole pudding on the same day, so I can give it a try. “refrigerator sheriff” and only allow 1 pot per day!

Attention to details

Before you start you need to understand this very important concept for the recipe to work, so when you read baking in a “bain marie” it means placing a pan with boiling water in the oven and the container of what you want to bake is immersed in that water.

But it’s important that the water level covers half of the container, okay?

The caramel

To make the caramel, melt 1 cup of sugar over low heat then add 1/2 cup of boiling water. Keep it on the heat, stirring constantly until the caramel forms, then add a little of the syrup to the bottom of each ramekin.

The Pudding

Blend 1 can of condensed milk, 1 can of milk and 4 eggs in a blender. Pour the mixture over the caramel until the ramekins are filled, then bake in the oven in a bain-marie until the surface is golden brown.

Place in the fridge for two hours and only then unmold.
