A Coconut Margarita It is a delicious drink that combines the flavor of tequila with the sweetness of coconut. It's a great option for those who want to try something different and refreshing.
To prepare a Coconut Margarita, you will need tequila, Grand Marnier liqueur, Tahiti lime juice and sea salt to coat the glass. Furthermore, it is important that the glass is previously chilled.
To prepare the drink, simply add all the ingredients to a shaker and shake vigorously with ice cubes. Then, strain it finely into a martini glass that has been previously cooled and coated with sea salt. Garnish with a lemon wedge and that’s it! Your Coconut Margarita is ready to be enjoyed.
Straining is an important process in the preparation of Margarita. It involves passing the drink through a sieve to prevent fruit lumps or pieces of herbs from floating in the cocktail. Crusting the glass is when we add salt or sugar to the outer edge of the glass to bring more flavor to the drink.
The Coconut Margarita is a great option for special celebrations with family and friends.
Served with a crunchy coconut rim, this coconut daisy with lime juice and tequila will add tropical vibes to any margarita night. Unstirred or stirred, it's perfect for any party of one, two or more!

What is the best tequila for a margarita?
You can use any type of tequila you like, but I think white/silver tequila pairs best with the light coconut flavors. Aged tequila like “reposado” or “añejo” is much smokier and has stronger caramel notes, which is great, but will change the flavor of the margarita a bit.
Is coconut cream and coconut cream the same?
No, but you can get both in the same can of coconut milk. Avoid shaking the can of coconut milk right before opening it. Then remove the thick coconut cream on top, which is also considered the fat in coconut milk. The rest of the can is coconut milk.

Tips for the best margarita
Coconut margarita or not, you'll be making the best cocktails with the help of these easy tips:
- Sweeten. Simple syrup, agave syrup, raw honey, and even sweetened coconut milk are great options for adding a little honey to your margaritas.
- Add a topping. Sprinkle 1 tablespoon of toasted coconut flakes on top of your margarita for a nice crunch.
- Make it ice cold. Add 1/4-1/2 cup of ice to the blender. Add all margarita ingredients and blend until very cold. Serve and enjoy an ice-cold delight.
- Avoid store-bought juices. One of the secrets to a great margarita is to always use freshly squeezed lime juice. The bottled stuff you can buy at the store is useful, but you'll never get the same flavor from it.

Can I make a large batch of coconut lime margaritas?
Absolutely! Twin, triple or quadruple the recipe (except the ice) and mix everything in a large pitcher. Stir a lot to combine and refrigerate for up to 24 hours. When serving, place the coconut rim in the glasses, stir again and serve with ice.
