Cinnamon Cookie

Sweet cakes and pies

Homemade cookie with freshly brewed coffee is one of the most affectionate things you can offer a loved one. In this case, I offered it to myself because it didn’t even last an afternoon hahahahaha. Guys, this cookie is really good and easy to make, do you want to see it?

Ingredients:

  • 1 and 1/2 cup of wheat flour;
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch (Maizena);
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon of cinnamon powder
  • 1 tablespoon of chocolate powder
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla essence
  • 120g softened butter (a little more than half of that tablet that looks like a brick)
  • Milk until thick (3 to 6 spoons).

* The measuring cup I used is 200ml and the recipe yielded 2 large cookie sheets.

Mix everything and add the milk little by little until the dough comes together. It has to be a dough that is easy to model, but without sticking to your hands. I used about 5 tablespoons of milk, but you may use more or less. Let it rest at room temperature for 10 minutes.

Model the cookies. I rolled it out with a rolling pin and cut it using a heart mold, but you can shape it by hand, making little balls and flattening them with a fork, like I did –> here.

Place it on the baking tray (you don’t need to grease it because they have a lot of butter in the dough) and bake at 200º until they are firm on the bottom. There’s no way for me to say how long it will take because each brand of oven is completely different from each other. You can open the oven (it won’t ruin the biscuit) and check. When the bottom part is golden brown, you can remove it.

Let them rest on a cold surface for a few seconds, when they are warm, coat them in a mixture of sugar and cinnamon and place them in a jar. Only cover when they are completely cold.

After they cool they become very crunchy! And the smell of cinnamon around the house?
