  1. First, in a pan over a bain-marie, you will heat the cream.
  2. Then add the semi-sweet chocolate pieces.
  3. Mix well and continue stirring until the chocolate melts completely and becomes a homogeneous mixture. Set aside for now.
  4. Then, in another pan, add the egg whites along with the sugar and heat over low heat.
  5. Stir constantly without stopping for about three minutes, taking the pan off the heat for a few moments every minute.
  6. After this time, transfer this mixture to the mixer and beat for 5 minutes until it increases in volume.
  7. So, add the chocolate cream that was cooling and mix lightly.
  8. Then, transfer the chocolate mousse to a large ovenproof dish or divide into individual bowls.
  9. Finally, decorate with chocolate shavings, whipped cream or some fruit, such as strawberries or cherries.
  10. Refrigerate for at least 3 hours and then serve.

Tips for preparing chocolate mousse

  • In this recipe we use semi-sweet chocolate, but, if you prefer, it can be milk chocolate or dark chocolate.
  • In the simplest version of this recipe, you will use two boxes of cream, one box of condensed milk and chocolate powder. Then just blend everything in the blender, put it in jars and put it in the fridge.
