That’s right, you didn’t read it wrong. Is it a chocolate cookie? Yes. But along with brownie. If you like that layer that sits on top of the brownie, you know? This cookie is practically just that cone more… crunchy to Brownie.

It’s not super crunchy like a cookie, the texture is softer like a brownie crust.

Cracked Brownie Cookie

Use the quantities in units of measurement in weight and volume when present. The measures in cups/spoons are just one system courtesy e less accurate .

1 cup: 250mL | 1 tablespoon: 15mL.


  • Melt the chocolate in the microwave every 15 seconds or in a bain-marie. Also melt the butter.
  • Mix the butter into the melted chocolate, mix well. Reserve.
  • In a bowl, beat egg and sugar for 2-3 minutes or until light and creamy.
  • Add the chocolate to the egg cream and mix well.
  • Add flour, baking powder and baking soda. Mix well. Reserve in the fridge for 30 minutes to 1 hour.
  • Preheat the oven to 180°C. Prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Divide the dough over the baking sheet, about 1 tablespoon.
  • Bake for 15-18 minutes. Remove from the oven and let cool for 5 minutes before removing from the pan.
