How to use Celidonia

The used parts of celandine are the root, stems, leaves and flowers during flowering.

  • Celandine tea: Add 1 teaspoon of dry celandine to a cup of boiling water, then let it rest for 10 minutes, strain and drink 3 to 4 cups of tea a day, for 3 or 4 weeks for gastrointestinal treatment.
  • Compress with celandine tea for warts: Cook 2 teaspoons of celandine in 250 ml of water for 5 minutes, strain and apply while still warm on the warts with the help of gauze 2 to 3 times a day. After application, wash the area with warm water.

Celandine side effects

High doses of celandine are toxic and can cause vomiting, nausea and diarrhea.

Contraindication of celandine

The contraindications of celandine are related to pregnancy and breastfeeding, as well as in patients suffering from hypertonia.
