City Snack Bar in São Paulo
Lanchonete da Cidade is one of the most traditional in São Paulo. At 17 years old, it was opened when artisanal burgers were not yet a trend in Brazil. As time went by, Lanchonete da Cidade was transformed along with the city. And it recently underwent another transformation, which includes partnerships with renowned chefs, producers, artists and DJs. In addition, it also launched Urbana Milkshakeria, with creations by Jefferson and Janaina Rueda, owners of Casa do Porco, Bar da Onça, Hot Pork and Centro Ice Cream Shop.

Run by the couple Jefferson and Janaina Rueda, A Casa do Porco is the only Brazilian on the list of the 50 best restaurants in the world. The union between these two giants of São Paulo gastronomy is guaranteed to leave our mouths watering! Therefore, the result of this partnership was 3 hot dogs and a hamburger. Therefore, the Rueda couple developed, together with the Porto Real slaughterhouse, an exclusive sausage for Lanchonete da Cidade, completely without dyes or preservatives, made with free-range free-range pigs.
The highlight is the Late Late (R$33), a tribute to the hot dogs sold in carts on the streets of São Paulo, including mashed potatoes. Furthermore, another sandwich from Casa do Porco at Lanchonete da Cidade is the Pig Big (R$39), a pork burger with two smash meats.
In fact, Lanchonete da Cidade, in São Paulo, likes to surprise us. In addition to the Rueda couple, there is also a partnership with chef Benny Novac. His creation is the Au Poivre Vert burger (R$45). It is made with a “bonbon” – the house’s 180g meat created together with Farmi – house cheese, potatoes au gratin and poivre vert sauce.
Urbana Milkshakeria
The partnership with Casa do Porco at Lanchonete da Cidade goes beyond sandwiches. A corner will be reserved in each store for Urbana Milkshakeria. She reinvents the milkshake in seven recipes, two of which are vegan, together with Jefferson and Janaina Rueda. All ice creams, syrups and toppings are free from artificial flavors, preservatives and vegetable fat. For example, the Maltado (R$ from R$20) contains chocolate syrup, chocolate ice cream blended with milk, farofa and malted chocolate. Plus, it’s topped with chocolate whipped cream. It’s certainly a bane for chocoholics. On the other hand, we have the innovative Yellow Fruits (R$32). It is made with yellow fruit syrup, batic passion fruit sorbet with almond milk, topped with coconut milk foam with passion fruit and finished with yellow fruits.

The New Diner in Town
The environments at Lanchonete da Cidade, in São Paulo, are much more modern, with walls and drawings made by guest artists. Furthermore, the experience is completed by a playlist by DJ Marcelo Botelho, who invited 12 other well-known DJs from São Paulo nightlife. In other words, every month we have a different selection with rock, soul, jazz, groove, MPB and disco music. Too much, right?
Service:
Lanchonete da Cidade has five locations in São Paulo. Since August 3rd, the Shopping Cidade Jardim unit has been offering all these new features. The remaining stores will receive it by the end of the year.
