Cape Grace has a great location in the V&A Waterfront, a revitalized old port area that brings together a variety of restaurants, bars, shops and food market. In addition, there is also a local designer market, the Water Shed and several street artists. The hotel is also steps away from the Diamond Museum and the brand new Museum of Contemporary African Art (MOCAA).

Cape Grace has a Victorian-style decor with the use of wood native to the region, the yellowood. In addition, there are several objects found in antique shops and a lot of Dutch inspiration. With the shape of a vessel, the decoration navy in different environments it gives you the feeling of actually being inside a ship. Like, for example, the whiskey bar, Bascule, which is located below the pool area and has all this nautical influence.

Our room was very spacious and cozy, with hand-painted wallpaper, objects with African motifs, a huge marble bathroom, closet and a wonderful king size bed. In addition, a balcony with an incredible view of Table Mountain, the city’s postcard. So, of course I couldn’t miss having a super breakfast in the room, which I love!

In addition to the rooms and suites, Cape Grace has some 2 and 3 bedroom “apartments”, equipped with a mini kitchen and dining room, ideal for a large family or group of friends. They are all adaptable according to the age of the children, with a crib, baby monitor, bathtub adapter and always a special gift for each age! If you need to prepare any meal inside the apartment, for example, the hotel supplies the kitchen with all the necessary ingredients.
Furthermore, if it’s an occasion or celebratory date like Christmas, for example, they decorate the entire apartment! In other words, everything to make you truly feel at home. Certainly the attention to detail and care for each guest make all the difference!

With a rich buffet table, Cape Grace’s breakfast offers a variety of fruits, yogurts, breads and pastries. In addition, there is also a menu with freshly prepared hot options such as omelets, eggs of all types, sausages, pancakes and waffles! Not to mention the atmosphere, super classic and elegant, with beautiful chandeliers.

Furthermore, the hotel has an excellent restaurant, Signal, run by chef Malika Van Reenen. It prioritizes local ingredients, such as fresh seafood, and translates the perfect cuisine of the Cape region.

The entire staff at Cape Grace is very kind and attentive! Carlin, responsible for the hotel’s marketing, welcomed us very well, was extremely friendly and sweet, and did everything she could to make our stay at the hotel and the South Africa even more special! When he found out that we would still be passing through Stellenbosch, for example, he gave us a wine tasting voucher at one of the best wineries in the region. We love it!
