Sweet cakes and pies

The taste really changes over time, right people, because there is one thing that I started to like as an adult: hominy, also known as Mungunzá or white corn porridge. There are recipes with peanuts, with coconut milk, a multitude of variations, but I found this one on the Nestlé website and found it very tasty and easy to make.

Ingredients:

  • 1 and a half cups of corn for hominy, but remember that it has to be for hominy
  • 1 can of condensed milk
  • 1 measure (can) of milk
  • cinnamon powder for sprinkling
mugunzá

Leave the hominy to soak in cold water for at least 2 hours, then drain the water and heat the hominy in a pressure cooker with two and a half liters of cold water, reducing the heat after boiling.

Let it cook for 1 hour, once cooked, remove from the heat, let all the pressure release and open the pan. Add the condensed milk, the milk and let it boil for another 5 minutes, stirring occasionally until it becomes creamy, then pour it into a deep bowl and serve sprinkled with cinnamon.

I’m not sure if I prefer it warm or cold!

I leave two very good videos for you to make, now no one has any excuses not to try!
