The group BTS marked their return to the stage after two years of isolation with an explosive setlist and memorable shows for fans.
The K-Pop group that has been dominating the music charts for years is back, and fans couldn’t be happier. In Los Angeles, in the United States, BTS marked their return to the stage with an audience of more than 200 thousand fans, who came to see up close who hadn’t appeared in a while. In this sense, for more than 2 years, BTS stopped performing for the public in person, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
With a performance lasting more than 2 and a half hours, the septet RM, Jin, J-Hope, V, Suga, Jungkook and Jimin made almost no interruptions. RM, one of the group’s rappers, during the third night of shows last Wednesday (1), commented on how it seemed to him that time had sped up. So all the months of distance and isolation had been skipped. “It’s been a while since I performed and this is my third show,” he commented. Soon after, “I feel like we never stopped, that we skipped 2020 and 2021. It’s so natural to be with you, to vibe with you, to see your faces. Thank you for being my nature and my beginning.”

Thus, the show’s setlist itself was already known to fans, but it underwent small changes in the songs that would end the show. For example, last Sunday (28), BTS welcomed Megan Thee Stallion to sing the award-winning feat “Butter” with them. Songs like “Young Forever”, “Spring Day” and “We Are Bulletproof” took turns during the first two days of performance.
Likewise, on the first day of performances, singer Halsey was in the audience supporting the group, and was applauded by the public when she appeared on the screen. Even though she participated in the “Boy With Luv” feat, she didn’t get to go on stage to sing with the septet. In any case, at the start of the night, BTS sang 3 tracks that made the ground shake, cheering up the audience: “On”, “Fire” and “DOPE”. Soon after, slower songs like “Blue” and “Grey” calm the mood and give some time to catch your breath between the series of hits.
However, one of the best parts of the occasion in which BTS returns to the stage is the performance of “Black Swan”. Together with a team of dancers, the song’s choreography is unique, and those sitting a little above stage level were able to appreciate every detail. In “Telepathy”, for example, the septet got on two carts that went around the stadium, in an area around the seats on the track.

The septet received a Grammy nomination for “Butter,” and were recently awarded “Artist of the Year” at the AMAs.
