Natural light is a good photo’s best friend, so forgive me because the step-by-step photos were taken at night and are ugly, but anyway what I wanted to show here is not the cake recipe itself, But I think this technique for stuffing it is fantastic!

I saw the idea in an orkut community, and the “creator” is Izabel from the blog flavor channel (Iza, have you abandoned the blog? We are in need of your delicacies!).

In the photo you can see a carrot cake, which the recipe has here on the blog and the topping is a brigadeiro to which I finally added 3 tablespoons of cream so it wouldn’t be so sticky.

Let’s go step-by-step and it will be easy to understand:

Make a cake of your choice using a round pan with a hole in the middle. Using a small knife, “cut out” the center of the cake and reserve the removed part. Fill as you prefer. Return the removed part over the filling. Spread a topping (which can be the same as the filling).

When I saw this recipe, Iza had put a chocolate filling and some whole strawberries inside. It should be really good!!!
