Blender Orange Cake – Panelaterapia

Blender Orange Cake

Sweet cakes and pies

Simple cupcake to drink with freshly brewed coffee, the kind that perfumes the whole house. Delight! Very simple to make, it uses a whole orange, peel and all! It’s VERY cute! I can already tell you that it can be made with pear or bahia orange, which makes it softer.

Ingredients (use 200ml measuring cup)

  • 1 orange
  • 1 glass of oil
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 and 1/2 cup of sugar
  • 1 and 1/2 cup of wheat flour
  • 1 tablespoon of baking powder

Wash the orange well and cut into 4 parts. Remove the seeds and that white part in the middle, keep the skin, like this:

Blend the orange pieces, eggs and oil in a blender. If your blender is very powerful, you can gradually add the flour and sugar and beat everything together (only add the yeast at the end). Now if it’s a little “limp”, pour the mixture into a container and manually add the flour, sugar and finally the yeast.

Bake in a preheated oven at 200º for about 1 hour. But be careful, each oven is different, so after 30 minutes you have to keep an eye on it. Do the toothpick test: insert 1 toothpick into the center of the cake, if it comes out clean it is baked.

* Make a repair in the fancy way I used it, colleagues. Well, I say it’s cute, but ordinary! It doesn’t have a well-defined shape, so I use it as a normal shape, the relief that is barely noticeable I leave facing down. I have one of those silicone ones that keeps the shape, but it sticks a little, it’s difficult to unmold. Oh, the hard life of a footballer!
