I saw this idea on Pinterest and decided to reproduce it to show you how it’s done. It’s very simple, but it adds a charm to gelatin that is usually a bit bland.
I don’t know if you can tell from the photo, but these cups are small, much smaller than regular cups, they should have a capacity of 100ml or so. You can use any type of glass, but smaller ones look more charming.
The images below pretty much explain everything:
I prepared strawberry gelatin with less water than the packaging indicates (I used 200ml boiling and 200ml cold). I placed them in the cups and placed them at an angle in a cupcake pan. As the mold was made of silicone, I placed it on a baking tray, just to make it firm enough to transport it to the fridge.
Those who don’t have a cupcake mold will have to rack their brains to find a way for the gelatin to harden with the cup tilted.
After the gelatin was solidified, I made the white cream by mixing 1/2 can of condensed milk, 1 pot of natural yogurt and 1/2 packet of colorless gelatin prepared according to the instructions on the package. I filled the other half of the glass and took it to chill again (at this point it no longer needs to be tilted).
That’s cool, right? It gives a different “look” to gelatin.
