For those who don’t know and for my readers from outside Brazil, bicho-de-pé is the name of this strawberry brigadeiro that I used to cover the cake. It’s a playful cake, with the feel of a children’s cake, and I made it to celebrate my little one’s first month, who actually turns 2 months this week (with great joy), but the adults loved it. It was really delicious!
For the bug topping I used:
1 can of condensed milk;
1 tablespoon of unsalted butter;
1/2 package of strawberry gelatin (the entire package is 35g);
1/2 box (or 100ml) of cream.
I put all the ingredients on low heat (except the cream) and let it thicken as if I were going to make a regular brigadeiro. Then I turned off the heat and added the cream.
I spread it on the surface of the cake and added some pink sprinkles.
