Banoffee Pie is an English pie created in 1972 and has this name because it is the combination of “banana + toffee”, that is, banana + caramel, which was later replaced by dulce de leche.
I made the traditional recipe in a large size to take for dessert at friends’ houses, but as it’s always “blurry” to photograph at other people’s houses, I made a “mini” one to post on the blog.

I made it with a disc of puff pastry (Arosa) baked separately. The assembly goes like this: playdough / dulce de leche / banana / whipped cream and on top I sprinkled chocolate with vanilla (a little mix I brought from Argentina).
The original recipe is with that cookie dough, and as I predicted the photos were bad (I took them on my cell phone), but I’ll post them soon because it’s really worth it, it’s a good, pretty, cheap and easy recipe to make, there’s something better?
