Banana Jam in Vanilla Syrup – Panelaterapia

Banana Jam in Vanilla Syrup

Sweet cakes and pies

I made this sweet to use in a dessert that I will soon post here on the blog, but it can be used in a cake filling, it can be eaten with crepes, waffles, with cream ice cream or plain, it is delicious!

The vanilla in the recipe is in the sugar. This is “vanilla sugar” that I made in the following way: I opened a vanilla bean in half, removed the seeds and added them to 4 tablespoons of sugar (I used organic crystal). Using a whisk, I mixed well so that the seeds loosened and then added 300g of sugar. I kept it in a closed jar with the fava used along with it. This sugar can be used in any recipe or to flavor drinks.

Let’s get to the candy:
I brought 2/3 cup of vanilla sugar, 1 teaspoon of lemon juice and 1/3 cup of water to the boil.
I let it turn into a thin syrup and added 3 sliced dwarf bananas.
I didn’t let the syrup caramelize too much because it would make it difficult to use the candy later in the recipe I had, but if you want, you can let it brown more.
This sweet is very fragrant and the vanilla seeds (the little black dots that appear on the banana) give it a special charm.
