  • 1/3 of a fried banana.

Preparation mode:

2. Meat, potato and pumpkin porridge

This baby food is rich in protein, vitamin A and iron, nutrients that are important for maintaining eye and skin health, as well as preventing anemia.

Ingredients:

  • ½ chopped onion;
  • 1 clove of chopped garlic;
  • 2 tablespoons of diced minced meat;
  • 1 small potato cut into cubes;
  • 1 small yam cut into cubes;
  • 2 tablespoons of pumpkin cut into cubes.
  • 1 teaspoon of olive oil;
  • 1 cup of filtered water;
  • 1 teaspoon of parsley.

Preparation mode:

In a pan, heat the oil and sauté the onion and garlic for 2 minutes. Add the meat and sauté for another 5 minutes. Add the potato, yam, pumpkin and filtered water, letting it cook for 15 to 20 minutes. Leave to cool.

On a plate, place 1 tablespoon of potato and mash with a fork. Add 1 tablespoon of yam and roughly knead. Add 1 tablespoon of pumpkin and knead. Add 1 tablespoon of meat and shred. Finally, top it off with 1 tablespoon of cooked beans and serve it separately to the baby.

3. Chicken porridge with endive and beetroot

Chicken is rich in proteins that are essential for the growth and strengthening of muscles and bones. Beetroot is a source of B vitamins, vitamin A and vitamin C that strengthen the immune system and maintain eye health.

Ingredients:

  • 100g chicken breast cut into cubes;
  • 1 small sweet potato;
  • ½ beet;
  • 2 endive leaves cut into strips;
  • ½ chopped onion;
  • 1 cup of filtered water;
  • 1 teaspoon of olive oil.

Preparation mode:

In a pan, heat ½ teaspoon of olive oil and sauté the chicken breast for 5 minutes. Add the sweet potato and beetroot, peeled and cut into cubes. Add water, cover and cook over medium heat for about 20 minutes and set aside. In another pan, sauté the onion with the remaining oil. Add the escarole to sauté, stirring until it wilts.

After cooling, place 1 tablespoon of chicken on a plate and shred. Add 1 tablespoon of sweet potato and mash with a fork. Add 1 tablespoon of beetroot and chop into small pieces. Finish by adding 1 tablespoon of sautéed and chopped endive, serving all foods separately to the baby.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of carioca beans (soak for 12 hours);
  • 2 liters of water;
  • 1 chopped onion;
  • ½ green pepper;
  • 3 chopped garlic cloves;
  • 1 dessert spoon of olive oil;
  • 1 handful of coriander;
  • 1 medium carrot in cubes;
  • 1 medium yam in cubes;
  • 2 cabbage leaves.

Preparation mode:

In a pan, heat the olive oil and sauté the onion, garlic and pepper for 2 minutes. Add the beans and water and cook for 30 minutes or until the beans are very soft. Add the carrot, yam, coriander and cabbage, letting it cook for another 10 minutes. Leave to cool.

On a plate, place 2 tablespoons of beans (seeds and broth) and roughly knead. Add 1 tablespoon of carrot and knead. Add 1 tablespoon of yam and knead. Finally, add 1 tablespoon of cooked cabbage and chop into very small pieces, serving with 1 boiled egg and food separately for the baby.

5. Sardine porridge with vegetables

Sardines are a source of proteins that are important for strengthening bones and muscles. Furthermore, this fish is rich in omega 3, a healthy fat that helps in the formation of the nervous system and strengthens the body’s defense system.

Ingredients:

  • 4 fresh sardine fillets;
  • 8 cherry tomatoes cut in half;
  • 1 medium carrot in cubes;
  • 1 medium zucchini cut into cubes;
  • 1 lemon juice;
  • 1 chopped onion;
  • ½ leek, cut into slices;
  • 2 cloves of chopped garlic;
  • 2 teaspoons of olive oil.

Preparation mode:

Preheat the oven to 180 ºC. In a bowl, season the fish fillets with lemon juice, cover and leave in the fridge for 30 minutes. On a tray, place a sheet of baking paper or aluminum foil and distribute all the vegetables and seasonings, forming a bed. Then place the sardine fillets on the vegetables, watering well with the olive oil. Cover the fish and vegetables with another sheet of baking paper, folding the edges. Place the tray in the preheated oven to bake for 20 minutes. Remove from the oven, open the paper carefully to avoid burning and wait for it to cool.

On a plate, place 1 tablespoon of carrot and chop into very small pieces or roughly crush. Add 1 tablespoon of zucchini and chop into small pieces. Add 1 tablespoon of fish and shred with a fork. Finally, add 1 tablespoon of cooked rice or cassava, serving separately to the baby.
