Between the 9th and 13th of September the 5th edition of the ArtRio 2015 at Pier Mauá. One of the main events of until from around the world, will bring together collectors, gallerists and artists from the current scene, with representatives not only from Brazil, but also Argentina, Spain, the United States, France, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, Portugal, the United Kingdom, Switzerland and Uruguay.
In addition to the presence of renowned names, the international art fair focuses on presenting young artists and emerging galleries that are already being recognized by curators, as bets on the future market. One of the goals is also to donate works to museums and public collections in Brazil, further enriching our collections and enabling more knowledge.

There are three programs that make up the ArtRio: Panorama, where national and foreign galleries operating in the art market participate until modern and contemporary, Vista, which is dedicated to young galleries with an experimental curatorial project and Prisma, curated by Carolyn H. Drake, Dutch director of A Tale of a Tub and Bernardo José de Souza, assistant curator of the Mercosul Biennial and member of the board of trustees of the Rio Grande do Sul Museum of Contemporary Art.
In warehouse 4 at Píer Mauá there will be a series of lectures, with collectors Mera and Donald Rubell, recognized as one of the greatest collectors of until of the current scene. On September 11th, at 6 pm, the couple will present the talk “Art Collecting Today”, with important information about the act of collecting works of art.
