ARMAZEM DO MARTON opens first store in Vila Olímpia

House and garden

Inspired by museum stores such as MoMA, in New York, and the Center Pompidou, in Paris, José Marton – visual artist, designer and set designer, creative director of Marton Estúdio –, created the Warehouse that bears his name and opens in Shopping Vila Olímpia, in São Paulo. Initially, in a “pop up” format, the itinerant store was installed in galleries and cultural spaces with the aim of selling personal use and decoration products from Brazilian and international designers, with added value and democratic prices.

With more than 14 editions, ARMAZEM was present in several states across the country, but it was at CASACOR São Paulo 2017, that the store was chosen as one of the highlights of the exhibition precisely for showing that design is accessible to everyone, through a mix of products from the fashion, design and vintage segments carefully selected by José Marton to meet the most varied purchasing options.

ARMAZEM DO MARTON is now located in Shopping Vila Olímpia in an assertive project that appears as a business solution in the midst of a period of national crisis, with the sale of products ranging from R$5 to R$30,000, in addition to promoting events linked to the universe of design, architecture and decor.

About José Marton

Graduated in Fine Arts from Faculdade Santa Marcelina (SP), visual artist, designer and set designer José Marton has dedicated himself to researching and implementing new technologies and materials for almost three decades. He brought the creation and inventiveness of his childhood and youth, having discovered his entrepreneurial side in 1995, when he created the Marton + Marton carpentry shop – a reference in art, design and architecture.

From then on, his name and his work shone on the most sought-after catwalks in the fashion scene, with stunning scenography and mastery in retail architecture for more than 300 clients, creating Marton Estúdio. In a world increasingly vibrant with transformations, the company is committed to connecting producers and consumers by synthesizing the essence of brands, without giving up innovative forms and specialized service in four areas of activity: Solutions for Art, Architecture, Scenography and Design . In 2001 he signed an unprecedented line developed with the striped acrylic system, starting the Entrelinhas series, which won the iF Design Award. On that occasion, he participated in the exhibition Talents à la Cartena in the 2005 edition of Maison Objet in Paris, in addition to being awarded the INDAC Acrylic Innovation Award.
