No friends, I didn’t go off the diet. This bulletin was sitting here waiting to be posted, but it was made a long time ago. It is incredibly easy. Have those recipes that we read and think: “this can’t work“! But not only does it work, it’s delicious!
The ideal is to make it in a round pan, with a removable rim, but I wanted to try my silicone English cake pan and I did it myself, as my mother says, I’m very “new”!
Let’s get to the recipe:
1 cup (tea) of wheat flour;
1 cup (tea) of sugar;
2 tablespoons of cinnamon powder;
6 sliced apples;
180g crushed walnuts;
180g raisins soaked in brandy (I didn’t use);
butter (for greasing).
For the cream:
1 cup (tea) of milk;
1 ovo;
1 spoon (coffee) of vanilla essence;
1 tablespoon of butter.
Mix all dry ingredients (flour, sugar and cinnamon). Alternate layers of the mixture with sliced apples, sprinkled with walnuts and raisins.
It’s the way you’re thinking, start with a thin layer of dried, apples, nuts, raisins, dried again, apple… (I finished with apples).
Blend the milk, butter (at room temperature), vanilla and egg in a blender and drizzle over the cake (pour on top). Bake for 30 to 40 minutes in a preheated oven at 180°C in a greased pan (the mine took 1 hour to bake). Wait for it to cool before unmolding.
On top I sprinkled sugar, decorated with nuts, and vanilla sugar crystals that I bought in “paraguation”. It looks very good!!! Crispy on the outside and very wet on the inside!!!
