Who has never found themselves wishing for that pancake (pancakes) in American films and series? With melting butter and lots of it maple syrup?
There are several versions, but in general, the ingredients are the same: milk, flour, egg and yeast. To avoid mistakes, we take inspiration from Aunt Martha Stewart! Despite the regrets (in 2015 the brand was sold), it is still a source of inspiration.
O maple syrup (maple syrup) will gradually win you over. At first I didn’t see that much fun in it, but then… I feel like putting it into everything.
It’s sweet, caramelized, turning into dulce de leche. The combination of pancake, butter and maple makes a difference! And that naughty idea of putting an ice cream in the middle, huh?
American pancakes
Makes: 10 – 12 units
- 120 mL leite integral (+ 20-40mL if necessary)
- 110 mL unflavored yogurt
- 40 g butter without salt (melted; 3 tablespoons + for greasing)
- 1 ovo
- 140 g wheat flour (1 cup)
- 30 g crystal Sugar (02 c. soup soup)
- 12 g chemical baking powder (02 pieces of soup)
- 3 g refined salt (1/2 cup of sweet soup)
- 5 mL vanilla extract (optional)
1 cup: 250mL | 1 tablespoon: 15mL.
- Mix all liquid ingredients and egg, mix well and set aside. If using vanilla, add it together.
- Mix all dry ingredients, mix. Add the liquids and stir to make it homogeneous. If it is too dry, you can add 20-40mL of milk, about 2 tablespoons, little by little. The dough is thick, but has fluidity.
- Place a frying pan (non-stick or normal) over low heat and grease with butter. Place the dough in the center forming a disc.
- Let it cook until bubbles appear on the surface (2-3 minutes). Turn carefully and leave until golden.
- You have to be a little patient and don’t press the pancake against the pan.
