Chicken – I’m using chopped, boneless, skinless chicken breast for these Greek chicken bowls. You can also use boneless chicken thighs or even chicken pieces here if you prefer.
Vegetables – These Greek chicken bowls are packed with good stuff, including zucchini, bell peppers (any color!), halved cherry tomatoes, chopped mini cucumbers, thin strips of red onion, and kalamata olives.
Rice – The base of our Greek bowls is cooked white rice, but you can use any grain you like. Quinoa and farro are delicious in these bowls. Cauliflower rice is a great low-carb option.
Greek Sauce – Try your own homemade Greek dressing or keep it simple and buy a bottle of Greek vinaigrette from the store. We really like the Newman’s Own brand!
Greek Seasoning – We use and love Cavender Greek Seasoning. It’s one of our favorite seasoning blends and we often use it on chicken, pork chops, and more. It’s a little salty, so we don’t add salt in this recipe. It may be necessary depending on how salty the Greek seasoning you use is.
Feta cheese – We love the flavor that crumbled feta cheese adds to just about any Greek recipe and this one is no exception! It’s a great topping for chicken bowls.
Tzatziki – What Greek recipe would be complete without tzatziki sauce? Even better would be to use my homemade tzatziki sauce! It takes a little more work, but it’s so good.

How to Make Greek Chicken Bowls:

- Prepare – Most of the work involved in this recipe is just chopping and slicing ingredients. Start by cutting the chicken into small pieces and the zucchini into slices. Also cut the pepper and all the ingredients in a large bowl. Pour in the Greek vinaigrette and top with the Greek seasoning and pepper. Stir well to coat the ingredients.
- Air Fry – Spray the air fryer basket with a little oil and add the chicken and vegetables. It will take about 10 to 12 minutes to fry the Greek chicken and vegetables. The chicken needs to reach 165 degrees to be safe. Shake the basket at least once halfway through cooking to mix everything up a bit.
Meat Thermometer
We use and love this ThermoPro meat thermometer every time we cook chicken, steak, or pork chops! It’s the easiest way to ensure meat is always cooked to the perfect temperature, and it also makes a great gift for beginning cooks!
- Finish – After air frying, you can start arranging the Greek chicken bowls. You will need some cooked white rice to divide equally between each bowl, which you can top with the fried chicken and vegetable mixture. Finally, top the bowls with the halved tomatoes, cucumbers, red onion, kalamata olives and crumbled feta cheese. Drizzle with the tzatziki!

Recipe tips!
Customize these Greek chicken bowls any way you like! There are many other vegetables you can use or some you can leave out. You can swap the rice for quinoa or leave it out. You decide!
The zucchini and peppers will cook perfectly alongside the chicken. If you want to add other vegetables, make sure they will need a similar amount of time in the air fryer so they don’t over or under cook.

COMMON QUESTIONS:
How to store Greek chicken bowls?
We prefer to store the cooked chicken and vegetables separately from the rice and toppings to make reheating a little easier. Just portion everything out when you’re ready to reheat and add the rice, chicken, and veggies into a microwave-safe bowl. Heat until warm and add your favorite toppings.
Are these Greek chicken bowls low carb?
As written, this recipe calls for white rice, which is not considered low carb. However, you can easily substitute white rice for cauliflower rice and you will have a delicious and healthy low-carb meal.
