Where to stay in Brasília: Hotels Neighborhood by Neighborhood
Below, we explain more about each sector and neighborhood to stay in Brasília. So, you understand the advantages and disadvantages of staying in
Northern Hotel Sector (SHN)
You will be a 10-minute walk from the TV Tower, which has a spectacular view of the Esplanada dos Ministérios and the National Congress. Which won’t be far either, although the walk to get there is longer: three kilometers.
The National Stadium is at the other end, a 20-minute walk from the hotels. Shopping Conjunto Nacional is also there, just a few meters from the Setor Hoteleiro Norte.

O Manhattan Plaza (4 stars, rating 8.6 – $$$) is one of SHN’s best-rated options, praised for its location and value for money. Another comfortable and good option for business travelers is the Windsor Brasilia Hotel (4 stars, rating 9.1 – $$$).
The Cullinan Hplus Premium (5 stars, rating 8.8 – $$$) has daily rates with excellent value for money for the hotel standard.
The Bittar Inn (3 stars, rating 7.2 – $$) is an economical option in the SHN, but also with a good rating. Another good value for money option is Alta X Apart Hotel – Kubitschek Plaza (4 stars, rating 7.8 – $$)
Due to the proximity to all government buildings in the federal capital, it is difficult to find cheap accommodation in this part of Brasília.

Southern Hotel Sector (SHS)
As I said before, only the Monumental Axis separates the SHN from the SHS. The problem is that we are talking about an avenue that has already been cataloged as the widest in the world and in which each direction of the road is separated by a huge lawn, the width of the National Congress.
That said, keep in mind that staying at SHS you will also be close to the TV Tower (and the fair that takes place there). And also from the Pátio Brasil and Venâncio shopping malls (where the US Consulate / CASV is located)
The distance to Esplanada dos Ministérios and Praça dos Três Poderes remains the same.
If anything changes, it’s the distance to Parque da Cidade, which is close to the SHS.
O Meliá Brasil 21 (5 stars, rating 8.9 – $$$$) is one of the best options in SHS, being praised for its location and comfort. The chain also has a 4-star version, Brasil 21 Suites Affiliated by Meliá (4 stars, rating 8.9 – $$$).
Another alternative in the same area, but with better value for money, is the St Paul Plaza Hotel (3 stars, rating 8.4 – $$) And finally, a good budget hotel in the region is the América Bittar Hotel (3 stars, rating 7.3 – $$).

Northern Tourism Hotel Sector (SHTN)
Brasília’s third tourism sector is far from the Eixo Monumental and Esplanada dos Ministérios, but close to other attractions of the federal capital: Lake Paranoá and Palácio da Alvorada.
The advantage is being in a beautiful and peaceful region, but you will need a car to travel to the Eixo Monumental area – in reality, renting a car makes traveling around Brasília much easier. About this, read our text on how to guarantee the best value for money when booking a car.
In SHTN, highlighting the Brasília Palace Hotel (4 stars, rating 8.9 – $$), which is in front of the lake and next to the Palácio da Alvorada. The Golden Tulip Brasília Alvorada (4 stars, rating 8.4 – $$$) is also highly praised, although the rooms are more expensive.
There is also one of the best luxury options in the city: Royal Tulip Brasília Alvorada (5 stars, rating 9.1 – $$$$)

Superquadras Region (Asa Norte and Asa Sul)
The Superquadras region is crossed by the Eixo Rodoviário (Eixão), an expressway that cuts through the Plano Piloto in a north-south direction. Avenida W3 (North and South, also called Eixinho) is a local road that runs parallel to the Eixo Rodoviário, bringing together many options for commerce, food and services.
There are no large hotels in Superquadras. The predominance is of small inns, hostels and flats, recommended for economical accommodation. An advantage of this residential area is that there are more public transport options (buses and subways). And, many times, competition tests will take place in these regions.
