The resort has several restaurants, a spa and a gym. The rooms are very spacious, as if they were a mini apartment, the decoration is very tasteful, with a very nice balcony and a beautiful view, as if we were really in a house not field.

For those who are crazy about the beach like me, you just have to adapt to taking the stroller to get there. At first, we complain, but then we get rid of it, and when we arrive at the beach, almost private, with gentle sea, white sand and exclusive hotel service, we forget everything. Well what do you expect from a trip to the Caribbean.

Those who are too lazy to go there can also take advantage of the hotel’s swimming pools, which are very nice!

And when you feel like leaving the hotel for a bit, the best thing to do is go to Altos de Chavóna beautiful place, which reproduces a small mediterranean townall built in stones, with a fantastic view of the river Chavon. Despite being built in the 80s, the place takes us back to a much more distant time.

There is also an imposing amphitheater, for four thousand people, which was inaugurated by none other than Frank Sinatra and Santana on the same night!

The Archaeological Museum and Cultural Center are also tourist attractions in the area, as well as a Drawing School, affiliated with the famous Parsons School in NY.

And for the tour to be complete, it’s worth having lunch or dinner at one of the several restaurants there. Like any tourist place, there are also little shops and some street vendors. I even bought a straw hat!
