Crumble is a dish of British origin that can be sweet or savory. The sweet is made up of a layer of fruit covered with a crumble that, when placed in the oven, turns into a crispy crust. Guys, it’s a simple thing to do. I made it in small refractories (yields 6) but it can be made in a single larger one, ok?
Ingredients:
1 box of strawberries
2 tablespoons of refined or crystal sugar (I used organic crystal)
80 g unsalted butter
2 tablespoons chopped walnuts (can be any nut)
200 g of wheat flour
100 g brown sugar (I use sifted sugar which is finer)
1 teaspoon of cinnamon powder

Chop the strawberries, place them in a refractory, sprinkle with sugar (refined or crystal).
Mix the other ingredients in a bowl to form a crumb (I add the nuts only at the end). Bake in a preheated oven at 180ºC for about 25 minutes, or until the surface is golden and crispy. Serve warm with sour cream, whipped cream or ice cream. I went with cream ice cream. Too good!
