I went crazy with a video I saw on Facebook with someone making a beautiful mandala out of puff pastry and Nutella. In this case it was very large and very well made. As I don’t have great confectionery skills, I was inspired by that video and made a simpler, smaller flower-shaped version that I think everyone can make.
Assembly:
- You need 4 puff pastry discs. I cut the dough (which I bought ready-made) using a glass with a wider mouth.
- Then you place 1 disc of dough in a pan greased with butter (or lined with parchment paper), spread a layer of Nutella leaving a border and repeat the operation stacking the 4 discs.
- Seal the edge by pressing with a fork.
- Now cut a cross (I used a pizza cutter) without reaching the middle. Then make another cut in the middle of each one that has already been made, like an 8-piece pizza.
- Finally, you twist each of the pieces. As shown in the figure below.
Bake at 200º until golden. I don’t know if it’s clear, because there are things that teaching through photos is very difficult. To solve this problem and leave no doubts, we made a quick video. Just click here: bit.ly/florzinha or press play:
