I’m absolutely crazy about this sweet peanut (praline peanut), and after I discovered how easy it is to make, things went downhill hahahaha, people, this peanut is addictive! So I’m going to give you the reduced recipe to make me feel less guilty, then you can increase the ingredients as you wish, agreed?
The ingredients are:
- 1 cup of raw peanuts with skin (or shell);
- 1 cup (tea) of refined sugar;
- 1/2 cup (tea) of water;
- 1 spoon (coffee) of baking powder;
- 1 teaspoon of cinnamon powder (optional);
- 1 teaspoon of ground cloves (optional).
The yeast in this recipe serves to make the sugar cone more crunchy and to help it adhere better to the peanuts.
Just put everything in the pan and place over medium heat. First it will boil and foam.
Then the sugar syrup will thicken and eventually it will start to turn sugary. You have to keep it on fire and keep stirring until the peanuts dry completely. Only then turn it onto a baking tray and let it cool completely. Then store in a closed container.
