The technique, of Asian origin, is made up of varied exercises that activate the muscles of the face and neck, relaxing tension points.

According to studies and experts, practicing facial yoga for 20 minutes, six times a week, helps strengthen the skin for up to three years, leaving the face firmer, free of wrinkles and with a more uniform color.

How to do facial yoga – Simple exercises

1. O “V”

Recommended for drooping eyelids, crow’s feet, dark circles and swelling, this facial yoga exercise is super simple! First, press your middle fingers against the inner corner of your eyebrows. Then, with the help of your index fingers, press the outer corners.

Finally, direct your gaze to the ceiling and lift your moving eyelids, like a squint, then relax.
This procedure must be done for a period of 10 seconds.

2. Papada

To perform this exercise, recommended to reduce the dreaded double chin, push your chin down over the top of your fingers and support your elbow with the help of your other hand.

Hold this position for three deep breaths and then use the top of the fingers of both hands to tap your “double chin” for 15 seconds. Remember to make light movements and alternate between hands.

3. Facial yoga: Soft smile

Recommended for marked cheeks and sagging face.

First, hide your teeth with your lips and make a kind of “O” with your mouth. Then, smile broadly with your teeth still covered. Repeat six times.

Finally, keeping your smile covered with your mouth, place your index finger in the center of your chin, then move your jaw up and down. Repeat twice.

First, tilt your head back slightly and “kiss” the sky. Repeat 10 times. Afterwards, relax your face and take a deep breath. After exhaling, imagine that you are blowing out a candle and push your lips out slightly, repeat 2 times.

This exercise is recommended to fill and firm the lips.

5. Trumpeter

To reduce horizontal fine lines on the forehead.

First, place both hands in the center of your forehead. Keep your fingers vertical, so that they fill the entire space from the eyebrows to the hairline. Finally, drag your fingers away from the skin, applying light pressure. Repeat ten times.

6. Facial yoga: Powerful eyes

Place your index fingers below your eyes, pointing towards your nose. Hide your teeth with your lips, keeping your mouth slightly open. Then, start blinking looking at the ceiling. Do this for 30 seconds, for deep eye socket and drooping eyebrows.

7. A giraffe

To perform this exercise, first, looking straight ahead, place your fingertips on the lower part of your neck and pull the skin slightly downwards, tilting your head back. Repeat twice. Recommended for reducing double chins.

8. Neck Roll

Start this exercise by looking straight ahead, then turn your head to the right so that it is in line with your right shoulder, and then tilt your head back. Hold for 8 seconds, then return your head to normal position.

Finally, do the same movement, however, turning your head to the left, also holding for 8 seconds. Repeat 3 times for each side.

Recommended for toning the muscles in the region, improving lines and wrinkles on the side of the neck.

9. Eyebrows

First, place your index fingers on the outer edges of your eyebrow. Then, open your eyes widely and pull your eyebrows away from each other, creating tension between the two. Hold the position for ten seconds and repeat twice.

Ultimately, this facial yoga exercise reduces lines between the eyebrows, relieves tension and firms the forehead.

10. Face Watch

Looking at a point in front of you, place your entire hand on your forehead. Then, without moving your head, direct your eyes to the right side, then to the center and finally to the left.

Finally, move your eyes to the center and look at the ceiling and then the floor. Carefully close your eyes for five seconds. Repeat this process 2 times.
