For me, one of the most successful combinations in my life was cheese with guava paste, or Romeo and Juliet. And it was inspired by her that I made this sweet. It doesn’t have a strong cheese taste, as I used cream cheese to make it stand out, but it was delicious!
The recipe here is for a small quantity, just 10 sweets, but then you double it, triple it, do it according to your needs, ok?
Ingredients:
8 tablespoons of Leite Ninho (or another brand of powdered milk);
2 tablespoons of sugar;
2 tablespoons of cream cheese;
1 teaspoon of water;
10 pieces of guava paste for filling.
Mix all the ingredients (except the guava paste). If you think it’s too dry to roll, add a little more water, if it’s too soft, add more powdered milk. When ready to roll, make balls, place a cube of guava in the middle, roll and dip in powdered milk. I put a little guava paste on top of each one. It’s delicious and a different option to serve at “festivals”, right?
