When I hear the expression “homemade food” the perfect trio immediately comes to mind: rice + beans + pot meat. Is there more comforting food than this?
To make this meat with vegetables, I sauté a good amount of onion in a small amount of oil in the pressure cooker, add the diced meat seasoned the day before (here I used shoulder), when it is almost golden I add a couple of cloves of chopped garlic (if adding it before the meat can burn and become bitter).
I add two fingers of a cup of water and cover the pan. After it reaches pressure, I leave it for another 15 minutes (but this depends on how tender the meat is and the quantity).
After all the pressure has released, I open the pan, add some vegetables, here it was potatoes, carrots and green beans, add another seasoning “Cadima“, in this case, I used the seasonings that I brought from Buenos Aires (one that contains salt, pepper, garlic, thyme and parsley), I add a cup of water (it could be meat broth). I cover the pan again and after it reaches pressure I leave it for another 10 minutes.

Easy right?
If you don’t have experience with a pressure cooker, you can cook the vegetables without pressure (it will take about 25 minutes). With rice and beans of the day it’s delicious but I only made brown rice (7 grains + soy) because I’m taking it easy after the “orgy” in Buenos Aires.
