Ingredients for the dough

  1. 3 eggs
  2. Half a cup of sugar
  3. 120 milliliters of milk
  4. Half a teaspoon of vanilla essence
  5. 1 cup sifted wheat flour
  6. Half a tablespoon of sifted baking powder

Ingredients for decoration

  • 200 grams of semi-sweet chocolate, chopped and melted
  • 400 grams of dulce de leche
  • Chocolate eggs to taste

Preparation mode

  1. First, place 3 eggs, ½ cup of sugar in the mixer and beat well at high speed for 10 minutes.
  2. Then, reduce the mixer speed and add ½ cup of milk, vanilla essence and continue beating until everything is mixed.
  3. Then, turn off the mixer and gradually add the sifted wheat flour and baking powder and mix with a wire whisk.
  4. Then, take a baking tray (19 cm in diameter x 6 cm in height), grease and flour it, pour the dough and place it in the preheated oven at 180ºC for 30 minutes. Once baked, remove from the oven and wait to cool.
  5. Once cold, take the dough and cut a 10 cm diameter disc in the center of the cake and remove the dough lid.
  6. Finally, with a spoon, make a 3 cm high cavity, being careful not to reach the bottom of the cake. Reserve.
  7. For decoration, take a bowl and add the melted semi-sweet chocolate and dulce de leche, mix until a homogeneous cream is formed.
  8. Then, reserve ½ cup of this cream and set aside.
  9. With the remaining chocolate cream, cover the entire Easter cake.
  10. Place the rest of the chocolate cream in a piping bag fitted with a size 4 tip and make lines over the top of the cake, as if it were a real nest.
  11. Then, decorate with chocolate shavings and place the decorated chocolate eggs in the center of the cavity on the cake.
  12. Ready, just serve.
