The news that fans of one of the most beloved Brazilian stars of the moment most wanted to receive has finally arrived. Now it’s official: the hit “Envolver”, released in November 2021, placed Anitta in 1st place worldwide in the ranking of most listened to songs, according to the Spotify platform. The song reached the position this Friday (25), after having held 2nd place yesterday. Early on, at 8 am, the song had already accumulated 6.39 million reproductions.

In any case, the hit of the moment, “Envolver”, is sung in Spanish. After all, it went viral on social media in a different way than traditional investment in the popularity of music. In this sense, he ended up far from the common spotlight, but still won over many around the world in his unconventional way. It all started after internet users created a “challenge”, the famous dance challenges on TikTok, with the song’s choreography. And this includes dancing in a plank position, with your elbows or hands resting on the floor, just like Anitta does.

However, even with international success, the music ended up really being consolidated through its loyal audience. Of the 6.3 million plays in the daily chart, 4.1 million were in Brazil. This is another record: never in history has a single song had so many plays in a single day on the platform in the country. In Brazil, the average for a song that comes in first place is 1.5 million plays per day. This way, even “Evolver” would be included in the account, at least until the stop announced last Thursday (24).

Even with the possibility, on social media, Brazilians were already celebrating Anitta’s success in 1st place in the world as if in a World Cup atmosphere. Since the beginning of the week, fans, celebrities and even famous brands have started collective efforts and posted memes about the subject.

Likewise, one of the users even joked: “Brazilians wake up, take a sip of coffee, see the position of ‘Evolver’ on the charts, play a few more games and go to work.” Another recalled a famous event on the app during the World Cup: “Brazil hasn’t come together like this since Neville Longbottom called Neymar pathetic”. Furthermore, Anitta made a point of thanking the public for all their efforts through a tweet. “Guys… I’ve never seen Brazil so united. Last. THANKS”.
