A 14-year-old girl died after being shocked when she was straightening her hair with a curling iron.
The tragedy occurred in a village known as Santo Agostinho, in the municipality of Pé de Serra, around 220 kilometers from Salvador.
According to information from the Military Police, the death occurred on Saturday (03/26/2016). The news was published by the G1 portal

According to the police, the teenager’s hands were wet when she performed the procedure and was shocked when she touched part of the wire that was stripped.
The equipment was collected by the police and will undergo forensic examination.
The victim was taken to the hospital by his family, but did not survive.
The body was taken to the Technical Police Department (DPT).
The case will be investigated by the Pé de Serra Police Station, whose agents hope to speak to the victim’s grandmother this week to clarify more details about the accident.

The device that allegedly caused the young woman’s death has not yet been seized for examination.
On a social network, friends mourned Vanessa’s death. One wrote: “Very sad. So young, he had everything ahead of him. But life is like that, full of surprises, the less we expect it, it comes and trips us up. Rest in peace, Vanessa. What we have for today is nostalgia.”
