Coconut oil is one of the most used “natural” beauty products around the world.
The ingredient is rich in several beneficial properties for hair, containing many proteins, vitamins and lipids.
By moisturizing your hair with coconut oil, your hair will grow stronger and faster – reaching the ideal length, but without breaking.

1 – Choose an oil that is organic
For hydration to occur in the best way possible, it is essential to choose organic coconut oil.
With this, you can be guaranteed that you will, in fact, be using a natural product – being able to choose options with or without scent.

2 – Preparation care
Before applying the product to your hair, it is important to take some care when preparing the coconut oil.
The oil must be slightly heated in a water bath. The ideal consistency is when the product becomes more liquid.
It is not recommended to place the product in a microwave oven, much less directly on fire.

3 – Traditional Wetting
The most used and well-known way to hydrate your hair with coconut oil is through the moisturizing method.
This method consists of applying the product directly to the strands, starting from the hair roots, and massaging strand by strand.
The product should stay in the hair for 1 hour to 6 hours, and the procedure can be carried out overnight.
The procedure allows the hair to become moisturized, soft, nourished and shiny.
It is highly recommended for women who have curly or afro hair.

4 – Combine with moisturizer
Combine coconut oil with your favorite moisturizer to make hydration more powerful.
Just add a capful of coconut oil for every 100g of the moisturizing mask.
Mix very well and it will be ready to use.
Keep in mind that the oil can be used once a week – taking care to keep at least two fingers away from the root.

5 – Add to other oils
To hydrate your hair with coconut oil and enjoy all the benefits, you can also combine it with other essential oils.
Avocado oil and grape seed oil, for example, are excellent suggestions to combine with coconut oil.
Simply combine, in a container, a reasonable amount – but without exaggeration – of both oils. Apply the oils to the hair, massaging well, avoiding direct contact with the roots.
Wait approximately 20 minutes and rinse your hair normally, drying the strands with an old t-shirt to prevent frizz.
It’s ready!
