Andressa de Faveri Urach, known only as Andressa Urach, is a model, TV presenter, writer and former dancer.

Born in the interior of Rio Grande do Sul, Andressa began her career in 2011 as a model and dancer. But she gained notoriety even when she participated in the Miss Bumbum beauty contest, in which she came second.

Who is Andressa Urach?

Andressa de Faveri Urach was born on October 11, 1987, in the city of Ijuí, in the interior of the state of Rio Grande do Sul. She comes from a humble family and faced several family problems during her childhood.

That’s because her mother got pregnant when she was just 14, and her relationship with Andressa’s father was terrible. Furthermore, when she was born, her father, who is of German origin, thought that the girl was not his daughter, as she was born dark-skinned. So he abandoned her as a newborn.

When she turned one year old, Andressa’s mother started dating again, and shortly afterwards she also abandoned the girl to live with her new boyfriend. Therefore, Andressa Urach was raised by her stepfather’s parents, and her mother would visit sometimes.

In 2009, former vice Bumbum applied 400 ml of hydrogel and PPMA, two toxic substances, to her thighs and buttocks for modeling purposes. Initially, the application resulted in a lot of work for the model, who appeared on the cover of several magazines and did several sensual shoots.

However, in 2014 Andressa began to have a fever, spots and several bruises on her body. After carrying out several tests, it was found that her body was not accepting the substances and that was why she had a serious infection. At the time, without consulting a doctor, the model decided to have liposuction to remove the products. However, the procedure was not completely effective.

In October of the same year, with the same infection and pain in her legs, Andressa underwent another surgery to remove the remaining substances from her muscles. A few days later she became ill again and was taken to the hospital, already at risk of death or amputation of her legs.

Andressa underwent a new surgery and was admitted to the ICU. She ended up falling into a coma, but woke up days later still having trouble breathing. In total, she spent 11 days undergoing respiratory physiotherapy and was discharged from the ICU.

His first work on TV was on the program Legendários, in 2011, on Record. Andressa was a tremendous success on the program, and the following year she became part of the Latino singer’s team of dancers, being titled the “Musa of Kuduro”.

In 2013, Andressa Urach was announced as one of the participants in the sixth edition of Record’s reality show, A Fazenda. The following year, Andressa became a TV presenter, and was in charge of programs such as Studio Pampa, on the Pampa channel, and Very Show, on Rede TV. Andressa later revealed that she managed to do well thanks to a client who introduced her to luxury prostitution, when he took her to an agency that traded girls for rich businessmen.

In an interview with the Sensacional program, on Rede TV, Andressa said that she started prostituting herself at the age of 21 and that she received up to R$30,000 for a program. “I earned much more as a call girl than as a model. At first she received R$400 and it went up to R$30 thousand for a program”said Andressa.

Controversies involving Andressa Urach

Andressa Urach’s life is full of many controversies and controversial topics.

Loss of custody of child

One of the most recent controversies was the loss of custody of her youngest son, Leon, aged one year and two months, from her marriage to businessman Thiago Lopes.

Andressa said that she has been unable to see her son since her psychotic episode in November last year. Since then, she has been trying to get joint custody of the child. “I gave reasons for this to happen. My hope is shared custody. That’s what I’m looking for: justice. I think he wants it unilateral”said the model.

That’s been nine years. My marriage was like a garden. If you don’t take care, the weed comes and takes over the flowers. We don’t care”she vented.

Religious conversion

Andressa also said in interviews that her near-death experience made her open her eyes. She reported that, during her coma, she found herself outside her body and that, around her, there were dark spirits who wanted to take her with them, saying that her soul belonged to them. Then, she said that she felt God’s forgiveness and mercy.

“I knew it was God, it wasn’t a hallucination, it wasn’t medicine, it was God. He came very close and I lowered my head, felt ashamed and said: My God, forgive me for everything wrong I did, give me a second chance, let me take care of my son. When I cried out, my soul returned, fit into my body and I breathed.”

In July 2016, the eldest son was baptized in the same waters as his mother, in the temple of the Universal Church of the Kingdom of God the previous year.

After converting, Andressa removed thirteen tattoos, also removed her silicone prosthesis and had surgery to reduce her genitalia, due to the use of anabolic steroids. Since 2016, the former model began giving testimonies of faith, both in churches and prisons.
